As a division of LIG, we provide quality education and instruction to insurance professionals, particularly in the areas of Marine and Longshore insurance. In addition, we work as consultants for insurance agents, companies and larger insureds who need assistance in the diversities of these markets, as well as provide consultation and expert witness services for insurance litigation.

Seminars

LIG Educational & Consulting Services Inc. offers a variety of seminars designed to improve the quality of knowledge available to agents where Marine and Longshore coverage is required. They allow the agent to be more comfortable when face-to-face with a client who needs these coverages.

Certified Marine Insurance Professional

The Practical Training and Designation in Marine & Longshore Insurance. To obtain your C.M.I.P. designation, you must attend each of the four sections; Fundamentals of Marine Insurance, Recreational Marine, Insuring Marine Employees and Commercial Marine; and successfully pass a short test at the end of each.
